Naturopathy
Traditional Naturopathy has been around for over one hundred years and was the primary medical treatment until World War II. According to its founders, it uses natural healing therapies to help promote heath and wellness. The core principle in Traditional Naturopathy is illness prevention. Drawing on the healing elements of sunlight, fresh water, whole foods, exercise, rest, proper breathing, nutrition and diet, and proper supplementation, naturopathic doctors educate their clients in wellness and health issues. Naturopathic doctors are not medical doctors, they do not prescribe medications, diagnosis disease, or treat specific medical conditions. They are teachers of wellness. Chandler Naturopathic Health Center assesses twelve areas of our clients' lifestyle and provides suggestions on how each area can be brought into balance using natural solutions. When brought into balance, major illness is often prevented and most illnesses often improve without the use of drugs, surgery, chemicals. or radiation.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy uses minute substances to assist the body's healing processes. The basic principle behind homeopathy is "like cures like." It uses substances that would, if taken in large doses, create the same symptoms as the client is experiencing. Homeopathy is safe for everyone, including animals, and can be used in conjunction with any other treatment option. Bach Flower remedies are considered, by some, to be homeopathic. It uses some of the same principles as homeopathy but uses flower essences, sometimes in combination formulas, for relief of emotional troubles. There are 38 original Bach Flower remedies. One of the most popular is "Rescue Remedy." Chandler Naturopathic uses both homeopathic and Bach flower remedies to assist our clients' wellness and balance of mind, body, and spirit.
Reflexology
Reflexology was founded and practiced in the United States in the 1930s by Eunice Ingham. It has been said that reflexology was practiced, in some form, over 2,000 years ago in Egypt. Reflexology is based on the science that all organs and systems of the human body are represented on the bottom of the feet, the hands, and the ears. It is based on the "zone theory" which implies that the body is divided into 10 verticle zones, five on each side. Within these zones, all organs, glands and systems are located. The energy that travels through the zones may become blocked at some point along its path, causing illness to develop. Reflexology removes this blockage by applying pressure to points on the feet thus, allowing the healing energy to flow unobstructed. Aqua-Chi Ionic Foot Spa
This is a non-invasive, water based energy system designed to increase energy levels in living things. The Aqua-Chi spa works through the medium of water by making available "Extra Energy" that the living cell can utilize. As the cells of the body are depleted of energy, disease has an increased chance to develop and/or spread. Aqua-Chi can make a world of difference in your health, in your energy level, in your life. Usui & Tibetan Reiki
Everything in the universe generates a frequency (or energy field), our body and its organs have their own energy field which is constantly changing. It is believed that all disease conditions are rooted in this energy system. When the energy is blocked or low, we are more likely to get ill. When the energy is free flowing, we can maintain our well-being. Reiki is a natural and holistic therapy that gently balances life energies thus, bringing health and well-being to the recipient. It is a simple and non-invasive specific type of energy work that uses the touch of the hands of the practitioner on specific power centers (called chakras). It works with the "higher self" of the receiver to promote health and well-being of the entire physical, emotional and psychic body. Dr. Chandler is a Reiki Master and uses the Usui & Tibetan forms (the original Eastern forms) of Reiki.
QiGong (Chi Gong)
Medical QiGong is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) It is a way of affecting and directing Chi (life force energy) for medical benefit. Medical QiGong redistributes and strengthens the vital energy of the individual by working (in principle) much the same way as acupuncture but without the needles. It works subtly and directly with the persons chi energy. You can learn to do QiGong on yourself by learning simple movements and/or visualizations that can be practiced at home, at your convienience. Chandler Naturopathic Health Center can guide you into the world of QiGong for the betterment of your health and well-being through techniques in this TCM.
