Q: Does your Practice accept insurance?
A: At this time, natural medicine is not covered by insurance (including Medicare) in North Carolina. You will find that our services are extremely affordable compared to paying insurance premiums, co-pays, and deductibles.
Q: Are you a licensed provider?
A: No. North Carolina does not require a license to practice natural medicine. I am Board Certified as an Alternative Medical Practitioner. For more information on Certification and Licensure please see "About Naturopathic Doctors" on the "About Us" page.
Q: I have a Health Savings Account, will I be able to use this account to pay for your services or supplements?
A: Most HSAs do not pay for alternative medicine or supplements however, some do. You would have to contact your agency to determine what your account will reimburse you.
Q: Do I have to purchase my recommended products from you?
A: No. You do not have to purchase anything directly or indirectly from CNHC. A limited variety of products are available at the office and all products are available at my on-line store should you want to purchase them from CNHC and you can purchase any supplement directly through the supplement company.
Q: How much time do you take for the first appointment?
A: The first visit or "Initial" visit is the longest. I averages one and one half hours. During this visit, a detailed history is taken, copies of any previous blood work or other testes are made, and protocol options are discussed.
Q: I am under the care of a medical doctor, will you work with him/her concerning my needs?
A: Yes. CNHC is more concerned with your wants and your needs than forcing you to choose between doctors. We recommend to all of our clients to have and use a primary health care physician if they can. We want You to be in charge of your health and wellness.
Q: Do you do any testing, hair, blood, saliva etc?
A: CNHC does not do any testing in the office with the exception of fingernail and tongue analysis and an iodine skin patch test. All other tests will need to be ordered separately through other associate agencies or through your medical provider. We can help you in recommending test specifically for your needs but, under state law, cannot order tests. All tests provided through CNHC are out of pocket expenses. The prices of tests vary by quantity and type and are not set by CNHC. CNHC can read the test and provide an opinion as to the results.
